The Government of Assam State has recently launched a Dairy Empowerment Initiative known as the Assam Milk Subsidy Scheme, under which the Government aims to provide a subsidy to all Dairy Farmers so that they can be motivated to produce more Milk across the State. The Government will provide a Subsidy of INR 5 per Litre of Milk, and it can be maximized to 30 Litres per day to all the Dairy Farmers across the state.

About Assam Milk Subsidy Scheme
The Honorable Chief Minister of Assam State, Himanta Biswa Sarma, has launched this Significant Dairy Farming Initiative known as Assam Milk Subsidy Scheme, in which the Government aims to boost the Dairy Sector and milk production by providing financial help to all the Dairy Farmers across the state. According to this initiative, the Government will provide a Subsidy of INR 5 per Litre to all the Dairy Farmers who supply milk to the Cooperative Societies. Eligibility Criteria
- Applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam State.
- Only Dairy Farmers who are members of Functional Dairy Cooperative Society (DCS) are eligible.
- The Dairy Cooperative Society must be registered under the Assam Cooperative Society Act, 2007.
- The DCS must have been formed before March 31, 2024.
Ineligibility Criteria
- Citizens residing outside Assam are not eligible.
- Farmers who are not members of Dairy Cooperative Society are not eligible.
- Citizens who have different profession other than Dairy Farming are not eligible.
